WhatsApp 'Accidental Delete' feature: It is very common to hit the wrong button while performing any task on WhatsApp. Most of the time this happens when you are trying to delete a message. But you can be in an uncomfortable situation if you don’t hit the right button. In order to save WhatsApp users from such situations, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature. The new feature for deleted messages on WhatsApp has been named - 'Accidental Delete'.

According to WhatsApp, owned by Meta, this is a new layer of protection for users on WhatsApp.

It is very common that we sent a message to the wrong person or group and accidentally clicked on ‘Delete for me’ instead of ‘Delete for Everyone’, leaving us in an uncomfortable position. 

Accidental delete is a new feature to protect you from these tricky situations. 

Now, you’ll have a five-second window to reverse the Accidental Delete, and click on “Delete for Everyone”.

This gives you a moment to quickly undo a deleted message if you accidentally select “Delete for me” but meant to “Delete for everyone”.

The 'Accidental Delete' feature is available to all users on Android and iPhone.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has started to roll out a new feature that gives users the ability to disable notifications for calls on Windows beta.

The ability to disable notifications for WhatsApp calls has been rolled out to beta testers after installing the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2250.4.0 update available on the Microsoft Store, reports WABetaInfo.
