The PUBG Mobile India game top rival Fearless And United – Guards (FAUG) launched in India on January 26. FAUG was developed by Bengaluru based nCore Games and released initially for Android users only on Google Play Store. The launch of FAUG is in news ever since Indian Government announced the ban on PUBG Mobile India game and 118 other Chinese apps due to the national security concerns and the rising anti-China sentiments in the country. Now with FAUG available for downloads, PUBG Mobile India is looking into the abyss, especially as there have been close to three lakh download of FAUG on Play Store.
What is worse for PUBG Mobile India is that, multiplayer action game FAUG is being promoted by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. It has no such notable Indian face to promote it. On January 26, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and wrote: "Face the enemy. Fight for your country. Protect Our Flag. India’s most anticipated action game, Fearless and United Guards: FAU-G takes you to the frontlines and beyond! Start your mission today. PUBG Mobile India launch update
In June, the ministry of electronics and information technology (IT) banned 59 apps, that was followed by the banning of another 118 mobile apps, including Tencent`s popular videogame PUBG, in September. The 118 apps continue to be banned and no decision has been reached on them as yet, hinting that PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite will not be available in India anytime soon, the Zee Media Bureau reported.
After the PUBG Mobile game ban, there have been plenty of rumors about the game making a comeback and targeting a re-launch on March 2021. However, it looks like the PUBG Mobile might not arrive in India anytime soon.
According to the news agency PTI, Government has stated that the ban on TikTok and all other hundreds of banned Chinese apps or those with links to them, will continue to remain in force in the near future.
The report clearly said that the banned Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite will not be available in India anytime soon.
