New WhatsApp feature rolled out; now, you can import 3rd-party sticker packs in India; Here's how to use it

In good news to WhatsApp users, the Facebook-owned messaging platform has brought new features. WhatsApp has rolled out the feature to import third-party sticker packs in the app. The feature is available for Android and iOS users in India, Brazil, and Indonesia.

After releasing some new features, like the possibility to mute videos before sending them to your contacts, WhatsApp is starting to enable a feature for specific countries, WABetaInfo reported, a website that tracks WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s latest update is included in WhatsApp for Android 2.21.3.19 and newer versions as well as WhatsApp for iOS 2.21.31.2 and newer versions.

According to reports, after several months, WhatsApp has finally enabled the possibility to import custom animated sticker packs in the app. The team is currently rolling out the feature for users in India, Brazil, Iran and Indonesia, However, updating to the most recent builds (such as 2.21.40 iOS and 2.21.5.6 Android beta) can help to get the feature quickly in those countries.

"As we know we can create stickers for WhatsApp using external apps, like Sticker Maker. Sticker Maker already supports the feature to generate animated stickers, from videos and GIFs: simply download the app, create a sticker pack and pick a video or GIF from your camera roll. Users should note that if sticker maker isn’t able to create animated stickers, it’s not an error at your side. The developer will remotely enable the support after received the activation of animated stickers. Users might experience issues importing sticker packs that contain both static and animated stickers. A sticker pack can contain only static or animated stickers, according to WhatsApp guidelines.

A sticker pack must contain at least 3 stickers, otherwise it cannot be imported. Stickers have a certain maximum file size.
