Instagram Users ALERT: Big PRIVACY update! Now, Control sensitive content in Explore tab - check how
This new feature will give the users control over sensitive content. Users can decide to leave things as they are, assuming they are satisfied with the experience today, or can adjust the Sensitive Content Control to see more or less of some types of sensitive content.
Instagram has launched “Sensitive Content Control,” which will allow the app users to decide how much sensitive content shows up in Explore.
Instagram in its Blog post wrote, "We believe people should be able to shape Instagram into the experience that they want. We’ve started to move in this direction with tools like the ability to turn off comments, or Restrict someone from interacting with you on Instagram. Today we’re taking another step and launching what we call “Sensitive Content Control,” which allows you to decide how much sensitive content shows up in Explore."

The company further said that it always had rules about what kind of content can be on Instagram, which is known as Community Guidelines, and the point of these guidelines is to keep people safe.
Instagram also have rules about what kind of content it shows in places like Explore. The rules are known as Recommendation Guidelines. These guidelines were designed to help ensure that it don’t show sensitive content from accounts people don’t follow.
This new feature will give the users control over sensitive content. Users can decide to leave things as they are, assuming they are satisfied with the experience today, or can adjust the Sensitive Content Control to see more or less of some types of sensitive content.
Instagram said, "Everybody has different preferences for what they want to see on Explore, and this control will give people more choice over what they see."
How to use Sensitive Content Control?
To view Sensitive Content Control, Instagram users will have to go to his/her profile, tap the Settings menu in the upper right corner, tap Account, then tap Sensitive Content Control.
Here they need decide whether to keep the setting at its default state (“Limit”) or to see more (“Allow”) or less of some types of sensitive content (“Limit Even More”). Also the selection can be changed at any time. However, the “Allow” option will not be available to people under 18 years of age.
