To know how to delete your data from WhatsApp permanently, follow the steps mentioned below:

First, the users must open WhatsApp account on iOS or Android smartphone. Second, Android users need to tap on the top right corner of WhatsApp console, then click on 'Settings' option. Third, the users have to click 'Account' option. Fourth, they need to tap on 'Delete My Account' option.

Also, the users need to mention their phone number on the new page and have to click again on the 'Delete My Account' option. Before deleting the account, you need to tell the reason for leaving WhatsApp. At last, re-click on the 'Delete My Account' option.

Once you tap on the 'Delete My Account' option, your WhatsApp account and data will be permanently deleted.

Meanwhile, after the recent privacy update from the WhatsApp, several Indian users are moving to another messaging apps such as Signal and Telegram. In fact, the small encrypted messaging app Signal is also gaining momentum in India with lots of new users signing in.

Previously, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, also asked their followers on micro-blogging site Twitter to ditch WhatsApp and move to Signal app instead.
