Volvo XC40: Volvo Car India has launched its pure electric SUV XC40 Recharge in India. The model is the first locally assembled luxury electric vehicle in India. Volvo entered India in 2007 and currently has 22 dealerships across the country.

The new pure electric SUV XC40 Recharge carries a price tag of Rs 55.9 lakh (ex-showroom), according to the company.

XC40 Recharge will only be sold online directly by the Swedish carmaker. Customers can place orders by making a payment of Rs 50,000 online directly on the Volvo Car India website from today onwards.

The XC40 has features like an advanced air purifier system that prevents up to 80 percent of hazardous PM 2.5 particles from entering the cabin, app remote services, advanced driver assistance technology, and much more.
