abCoffee, a tech-enabled and affordable specialty coffee startup, has raised $2 million in seed funding, led by Tanglin Venture Partners, the company said in a statement. In the round, other investors like 100X.VC, Panthera Peak, OTP Venture Partners, and a few unnamed angel investors also participated.
"In a burgeoning market, abCoffee has the perfect mix of the right product, a strong team, and proper positioning to propel them into becoming a leading coffee brand in India in the coming years," said Ninad Karpe, a co-founder and partner, 100X.VC.
Mumbai-headquartered abCoffee plans to use the funds to increase its tech stack, expand its product range, and make its affordable specialty coffee more accessible across India through its retail grab-and-go outlets.
abCoffee was started in 2022 by Abhijeet Anand, an IIT Dhanbad alumnus, who had a decade of experience in the petroleum industry in the international market.
The company offers a wide variety of freshly brewed coffees at affordable prices, sourced from the leading farms in Chikmagalur and roasted to perfection to suit the Indian palate.
In the space, Blue Tokai had raised funding from actor Deepika Padukone’s investment entity, Ka Enterprises, as a part of its Series B funding round earlier this month.
