Investment banking services firm Equirus Group has appointed Krishna Jha as a venture partner for the InnovateX Fund, the company said in a press release on June 24.

Equirus Group provides full-service investment banking services that include wealth products, structured finance, PE, M&A, insurance broking, and the stock and debt capital markets.

Along with institutional stocks, it also provides research and portfolio management services.

Having more than two-and-a-half decades of experience, Jha will lead the company's dedication to innovation and strategic growth using his expertise in financial sector. He started his career with Citi, followed by an entrepreneurial venture in the mobile internet space.

Commenting on Jha's appointment, founder and MD of Equirus, Ajay Garg, said, "Krishna's extensive experience and proven track record in the industry will be pivotal in driving the success of the InnovateX Fund. His strategic vision and leadership will enhance our ability to deliver innovative solutions and superior value to our investors."

Over the past decade as an investor, Jha has been focusing both on early-stage companies as well as public markets. 
He has worked with over three dozen companies, many of which have made outsized returns.

Equirus claims to have completed over 180 deals in M&A, PE, IPO, QIP, rights issue, and structure finance totaling $6 billion.
