Snapdeal clocks 40% sale via tie-up with SBI cards on 1st day of 'Unbox Diwali Sale'
Snapdeal has clocked 40% sale by value through its tie-up with SBI cards on the first day of its second season of 'Unbox Diwali Sale' which started on Wednesday.
On the back of its partnership with State Bank of India (SBI) for instant discounts, the e-commerce firm this time has witnessed a rise of 65% in the first time users from tier-II and tier-III cities of India as compared to 53% in the first season of the sale which took place last week.
“We are bringing the next wave of customers online through our partnership with SBI. It is exciting to see so many new users opting to use credit cards to make online purchases. The growth trends we have witnessed this Diwali, speaks volumes of the pan-India appeal of e-commerce,” Snapdeal vice president and head-category management, Saurabh Bansal said in a press release on Wednesday.
Snapdeal started its second season of 'Unbox Diwali Sale' on October 12 which will last till October 14.
