PMS Scheme: Modi govt's booster for MSME sector - All you need to know

PMS scheme: Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ( MSMEs) are considered to be the backbone of India's economy. Proper marketing strategy and regularly exploring new markets are critical for growth and survival of such enterprises.
Keeping the interest of the MSME sector in mind, the government has introduced the Procurement and Marketing Support (PMS) scheme.
The scheme is a component of the main scheme on 'Development of MSMEs' (Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme). It has been introduced to enhance the marketability of products and services in the MSME sector.
How will PMS scheme help MSMEs?
- - The scheme will help and encourage MSMEs to develop domestic markets and promote new market access initiatives like organising/participation in trade fairs/ exhibitions etc.
- - It will help to facilitate market linkages for effective implementation of Public Procurement Policy for MSEs Order of 2012.
- - The scheme aims to help and create an overall awareness about trade fairs, digital marketing, e-marketing, GST, GeM portal and other such related topics.
- - The scheme aims to educate MSMEs on various facets of business development.
- - MSMEs' will get educated about development of Marketing Haats.Capacity building of MSMEs in modern packaging techniques etc.
Eligibility criteria: Manufacturing / Service sector MSEs registered at Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) Portal.Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) is a one- page registration form for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to get registered under MSME.
