Paytm launches 'Maha Bazaar Sale' on Oct 12
India's mobile payments and e-commerce company Paytm has announced its 'Maha Bazaar Sale' for the upcoming Diwali festival starting this Wednesday.
Its 'Maha Bazaar Sale' will begin on October 12 and will last till October 14.
In its three-day festive sale, Paytm has claimed that over 10,000 of its 1.3 lakh merchants across India will contribute over 100 crore in cashback .
“This festive season, a wide range of categories including fashion-led by ethnic wear, gifts and sweets, mobiles, consumer durables and home furnishings will feature exciting promotions on Paytm,” the company said in a press release on Wednesday.

"Diwali is the biggest shopping season in India and the special offers on Paytm will add further delight to this year’s celebrations.We believe that we will deliver a great experience to our consumers and sellers this Diwali. This is in line with our vision to position ourselves in the Indian consumer's mind as the one-stop destination for value-driven online shopping,” Paytm vice president Saurabh Vashishtha said in a statement.
Paytm is based in New Delhi-NCR and is owned by mobile internet firm One97 Communications.
