Paytm accuses Snapdeal-owned Unicommerce for stealing biz data

Online digital payments and commerce platform Paytm.com has filed a lawsuit against Snapdeal-owned Unicommerce eSolutions company in the Delhi High Court, reports a daily citing its sources.
According to the news report, Paytm, owned by One97 Communication, has accused Unicommerce eSolutions of accessing confidential business data on Paytm's commerce platform via the sellers on its platform. Sellers on the Paytm's platform use Unicommerce for managing orders and inventory across multiple marketplaces and carts, the report noted.
Snapdeal.com is a New Delhi-based online marketplace platform, promoted by Jasper Infotech and it had bought Unicommerce eSolutions in March last year.
As per the news report, Paytm has also alleged that Unicommerce is using Paytm's logo and name without any authorisation.
The hearing of the lawsuit is expected to take place on Thursday, it said.
Both Paytm and Snapdeal-are competitor in two key business areas namely payments and commerce marketplace.
