Google's Sundar Pichai announces digital training, dedicated cloud services for Indian SMEs

Google CEO Sundar Pichai on Wednesday announced that the company is opening a dedicated cloud region for India this year. He further announced that this dedicated cloud region for India is coming later this year.
Pichai speaking at a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) event in New Delhi said that Google will launch digital training for small businesses in India. He further said that any small business with internet can do the training.
“When I was growing up in Chennai, information was a luxury. I used to read up every book”, said Pichai.
Pichai was at the event to announce some of these key initiatives for Indian SMEs as the global tech giant looks to bring more businesses online in the country.
Also present at the conference was Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad apart from other senior Google executives.
Google has been pushing its products such as Google for Business and a new Cloud as it is looking to tap into the multi-million dollar opportunity in India.
