GIFKaro, InviteKaro! Innovative wedding invitation platform - This startup helps save paper
Sending paper cards take a lot of manpower and time. Moreover, this is expensive too. If we go digital, the process can be much easier and cost effective.
Wedding cards cut out of paper are widely prevalent but right from printing to sending paper cards to loved ones is not an easy task. Sending these cards take a lot of manpower and time. Moreover, this is expensive too. If we go digital, the process can be much easier and cost effective. Now no more wastage of paper, stationery and hassles of inviting your guests at the wedding or any other special occasion individually. Now, you can do it remotely with just a click of a button.
Besides, people who receive printed invitation cards, do not have access to them all the time, as these can't be on phones. InviteKaro, a start-up, offers customised GIF cards for various special occasions such as weddings, birthday or any other. This is convenient, as you can carry this card on your mobile and send anytime. Therefore, you have the information about the wedding date, venue, etc, at hand all the time.
InviteKaro, a daughter company of GIFKaro, says its objective is to simplify the Indian weddings so that the host concentrate more on things that actually matter.
The startup has raised fund from various investors like Pranay Gupta (ex snapchat and current Google employee) and Dr Ekika Singh (one of the top gynaecologist and infertility specialist in India), among others.

InviteKaro combines multiple layers of animations into one to come up with the perfect personalised GIF card for you, said Arpit Kumar, the founder of InviteKaro. This is a very futuristic mode of invitation, which differentiates itself from how the modern day electronic invites are. They are either dull emails lying in your inbox, or are hard and flat images, in some cases the scanned copies of the wedding card, that has been pinged to you on a social media channel. GIFs provide you with the personalised digital cards that are lively and animated, he said.
“Traditional is no fun if it is inconvenient to you and to the people you love. Who wants to take the hassle of going out, picking a card, finding a nearby courier and actually mailing the wedding cards? InviteKaro allows you better services from the spacious comforts of your home, where you can relax, pick a design that best represents who you are, how you would want the wedding to be like, and that’s that. Go to the social media of your choice and start shooting invites. It’s that easy. And also fun,” Kumar said.
