Flipkart moves Gujarat High Court against 'entry tax'
Flipkart has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against Gujarat Government in Gujarat High Court.
The e-commerce company said that the PIL has been filed against the state government's diktat of 'entry tax'. The state government has made it mandatory for all e-commerce companies to pay 'entry tax' for goods that they are bringing in to the state.
In its petition, Flipkart argued that it is just an agency that delivers products to its customers.
The Gujarat High Court has sent a notice to state government and the hearing has been deferred to next week.
