Smartivity Labs joined the global toy community, in displaying its innovative range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, (Arts) and Math) Educational DIY Toys at the Dallas Fall Toy Preview 2017.

It is the largest educational toys trade fair which was held at the Dallas Market Centre, in Dallas, Texas, USA from the October 3-5. The fair had some of the world's biggest retailers including COSTCO, Walmart, Target.

Smartivity has partnered with Canada headquartered PlaSmart Inc, one of the largest distributors of niche toys in North America to distribute its products in USA and Canada.

STEM Educational toys is among the most sought after categories in toy industry with a global market size of $29 billion.

The US is the biggest market for STEM Educational toys accounting for almost 35% of global demand.

This is also one of the few categories that is showing 8% year-on-year growth for the past 5 years across the world and Smartivity, with its in-house, design-patented, “Made In India”, products is the only Indian company to participate in this key industry event.

Tushar A Amin, co-founder and CMO Smartivity said, "There is big demand from parents in the developed countries like the US for hands-on, physical STEM learning based activities. Toys currently tagged under STEM category are usually restricted to electronics kits and robots. Distributors and retailers that PlaSmart have presented Smartivity range to, are confident that the total mind-body involvement provided by these will be appreciated by American parents and loved by young minds. We are extremely proud to demonstrate our work at such a prestigious industry event. Our efforts are driven towards changing the narrative of India being a service-focused economy."

For this event, Smartivity has designed a fully functional, life-size version of its bestselling STEM educational DIY toy - Mechanical Xylofun Music Machine, which will be installed at the venue and serve as a key attraction at the trade fair.

Smartivity will be represented at the Dallas Fall Toy Preview 2017 by Ashwini Kumar, CEO, and Apoorv Gupta, COO, Smartivity.

Produced by the Toy Association, the annual show consistently draws a considerable crowd of global buyers from mass, long-lead, and high-volume specialty retail outlets, who flock to the Dallas Market Center to preview thousands of compelling playthings shown by creative toy companies more than a year in advance of in-store delivery.

Some of the high profile retailers include Amazon, Dollar Tree Stores, Hobby Lobby Stores, Michael’s, Toys“R”Us, Target and Walmart with International representatives from about 20 countries.
