Budget 2019: Women entrepreneurs welcome 3% tax benefit for women owned MSMEs
Women entrepreneurs say the tax benefit in budget 2019 will ensure better opportunity and opening for Women in the MSME segment. It will also ensure active participation of women in the MSME segment.
Budget 2019: Hailing Finance Minister Piyush Goyal's budget 2019 proposal to provide 3 per cent tax benefit to the women owned Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs), women entrepreneurs of India have said that the move will ensure better opportunity for women in the MSME segment through active participation of women in the MSME sector.
Lisa Jeffery, Deputy CEO, SBI General Insurance told Zee Business online in a written statement, “SBI General Welcomes the 3 per cent tax benefit to Woman entrepreneur in MSME segment. This will ensure better opportunity and opening for Women in the MSME segment. Participation of Women in MSME segment will help the sector achieve better participation of female workforce in a segment which is one of the largest employment providers in the country. This will also ensure improvement in financial status of women by ensuring more participation in management of MSME business.”
