Growth Projection For Flex Spaces?

"Flex space will drive meaningful growth over the next decade. Over five years, India saw a staggering 400% rise in flexible workspace, hitting 53 million square feet by FY 2023, marking it as the largest global market, leaping from 0% (In 2017) to over 6% penetration. Forecasts predict a doubling of this sector in the next five years, projecting a substantial 106 million square feet in flexible workspace inventory," Neetish Sarda, founder of Smartworks said.

For reference, Sarda said, "Our (Smartworks) revenues increased to ~Rs 750 crore in FY23 from Rs 394 Cr in FY22. The operational footprint expanded from 1.9 Mn sq. ft in 2020 to 7.2 Mn sq. ft + in 2023 (< 3 years). We are expecting to close FY24 at ~1200 Cr revenue (~90% contracted already). We aim to close this fiscal with over 9 Mn sq. ft. footprint." These figures are sufficient in themselves to convey the potential scope of flex space.
