PNB Customers ALERT! Open PPF account online using Internet Banking System - Check Step-by-step guide here
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has recently launched e-PPF through Internet Banking System. Customers can open a PPF account round the clock by logging in to Internet Banking System using their ID and Password.
Punjab National Bank (PNB) customers who want to open a PPF account can note that the bank has recently launched e-PPF through Internet Banking System.
"Open a PPF account through Internet Banking and be free from the worries of tomorrow," PNB tweeted on Friday.

Customer can avail this facility round the clock by logging in to Internet Banking System using his ID and Password following these below mentioned simple steps:

For Internet Banking System (IBS) users using their IBS ID and Password:
Step 1: Login to IBS using ID and Password and go to option “My short-cut” <> “PPF Account” <> “Open a PPF Account”.
Step 2: From Drop Down Menu, select Self A/c or Minor A/c and then fill up all the PPF Account Opening details available on screen and select a name of authorized branch from drop down menu where the PPF Account shall be opened and maintained. After that click on Submit.
Step 3: After clicking on Submit, Request Confirmation screen shall appear. Enter Transaction Password and “Submit”.
Step 4: After entering Submit, “Cyber Receipt” with GBM Reference number shall be generated on IBS screen. Information submitted by IBS user for opening PPF Account shall be available for 7 days only.
Step 5: Press OK button to download PDF file and take print-out of Account Opening Form (AOF) having GBM Reference on it. Paste the Photo on Account Opening Form and enclose the copy KYC documents and hand-over the form along with KYC documents to the authorised PPF branch selected from drop down menu where the PPF account shall be opened.
For GBM-PPF users at PPF authorised branch
Step 1: Branch user will have to login to GBM <> PPF.
Step 2: Select sub-option “Inet Account Opening” that is the last option available under main option “Masters”.
Step 3: Click on “Add” button and select the “GBM reference No.” available on Account Opening Form, by using TORCH icon and Submit.
Step 4: After submit, Account Opening screen with GBM Reference No. will appear with details of PPF Account Holder. The fields can be edited before verification. Check PPF Account Opening details ensuring that all the details are filled in GBMPPF procedurally and Submit.
Step 5: PPF Account Number will be generated. After this, branch with different user ID in GBM-PPF has to verify the record of PPF Account Number by selecting GBM <> PPF <> Inet Account opening <> Verify. Then select the GBM Reference No. by click on Torch Icon available on GBM-PPF screen and press Submit button ensuring that all details of PPF Account opening are correctly feeded in GBM-PPF.
Step 6: PPF Account successfully verified will appear on GBM-PPF screen. Make transaction in the PPF Account with the amount tendered by customer. PPF Account No. shall be linked immediately with IBS ID and Password of customer for making transactions in the account on-line.
