Top 5 flexi mutual funds with highest SIP returns in 3 years: When we talk about equity mutual fund investment, we practically talk about investment in companies of various market capitalisations. Some equity mutual funds are large-cap heavy; some have high proportions in mid-cap mutual funds, while others are small-cap heavy. We invest in these funds according to our risk appetite and financial goals. But, most of the time, we pick schemes that have a large exposure to one type of market capitalisation of stocks. What if we want to invest in a category that provides stability of large-cap stocks, flexibility of mid-cap stocks, and return of small-cap stocks? For such investors, flexi cap is the category. As per Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), a flexi cap mutual fund has to invest at least 65 per cent of its investments in equity and equity-related instruments. In a flexi cap scheme, the fund manager can shift investments from poor-performing stocks to better-performing stocks. E.g., if at a given time, small- and mid- cap stocks are not performing well, the fund manager can shift investments to large-cap stocks. In this write-up, know the top 5 flexi cap mutual funds in terms of annualised SIP returns (XIRR) and what Rs 25,000 monthly SIP in each fund has grown to in that time frame.
