PM Modi’s Birthday Gift: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the Subhadra Yojana on September 17, his 74th birthday, which will provide a significant financial boost to women in this state. This new initiative will offer Rs 10,000 annually to one crore women in the state, divided into two installments.
Odisha Subhadra Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 74th birthday today, September 17, 2024. On this occasion, PM Modi will launch the Subhadra Yojana for the Odisha government. This initiative will provide a birthday gift to one crore women in Odisha. Under the Subhadra Yojana, each eligible woman will receive Rs 10,000 annually, distributed in two installments.
What is the Subhadra Yojana?
The Subhadra Yojana is a new program in Odisha designed to support women in the state. Beneficiaries will receive a total of Rs 10,000 each year in two installments: the first installment will be disbursed on International Women’s Day (March 8), and the second on Rakhi Purnima.
Impact and Duration
The scheme is expected to benefit at least 1 crore women in Odisha, providing financial assistance of Rs 50,000 over a period of five years, from 2024-25 to 2028-29. Approximately Rs 55,825 crore will be allocated for this initiative.
Current Registration Status
As of now, around 60 lakh women have registered for the Subhadra Yojana. Women who completed their registration by September 15 will receive their first installment on September 17, coinciding with the launch of the scheme by PM Modi.
Eligibility Criteria
The Subhadra Yojana will be available to women in Odisha aged 21 to 60. Eligible women will receive R 10,000 annually under the scheme.
Exclusions
Women who receive Rs 18,000 or more annually from any government scheme or scholarship, or who are taxpayers, are not eligible for this scheme.
