To improve the economic independence of women, to work on their health and nutrition, and to strengthen their role in the family, the Government of Maharashtra launched Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on June 28, 2024. Under this scheme, eligible women in the age group of 21 to 65 in the state of Maharashtra will be provided with a financial benefit of Rs 1,500 per month through DBT (direct benefit transfer).   • Must be a resident of Maharashtra State.
  • Minimum age of 21 years and maximum age of 65 years.
  • Beneficiary should have his own Aadhaar linked bank account.
  • Annual income of the beneficiary family should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs.
  • Married, widowed, divorced, abandoned, and destitute women of the state and only one unmarried woman in the family.
