To improve the economic independence of women, to work on their health and nutrition, and to strengthen their role in the family, the Government of Maharashtra launched Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on June 28, 2024. Under this scheme, eligible women in the age group of 21 to 65 in the state of Maharashtra will be provided with a financial benefit of Rs 1,500 per month through DBT (direct benefit transfer).
