How to e-verify ITR: The last date to file the Income Tax Return (ITR deadline) is July 31, 2024. It means, you have just three days to complete it. While filing your ITR return, you will also have to e-verify your ITR. As per the Income Tax Department (I-T Department), it is mandatory to e-verify your ITR within 30 days after filing it. The ITR filing process is considered complete only after verification. If you have filed the ITR but have not verified it, it will be declared invalid. Taxpayers can e-verify their ITR through EVC, i.e., the electronic verification code option. You can verify ITR offline as well as online. Before understanding how to e-verify your ITR, let us know some more things about e-verification.

On the e-verify return page, enter your PAN, choose the assessment year, and enter the mobile number along with the ITR acknowledgment number, then click on continue.

Now enter the 6-digit mobile number received on your mobile number and submit it.

But if you are filing ITR after 30 days of filing, then click on OK.

You will have to enter a condonation delay request here. And you will have to give the reason for the delay, you can select it from the drop-down menu.

Now choose any one of the methods of e-verification mentioned above and e-verify your ITR.
