How to withdraw money from SBI ATMs without using a card? Follow these steps
India's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has recently launched YONO Cash which allows customers to withdraw money from ATMs without using a card. With this, SBI has become the first Indian bank to introduce a service like this. It would allow State Bank of India customers to generate a one-time pin (OTP) on their mobile application and it to transact from the bank’s ATM. SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar said the new initiative will address concerns over using debit cards at ATMs for cash withdrawals by eliminating the possible associated risks. “This feature on YONO is designed to help its users withdraw cash without a physical debit card," he said in a statement. Follow these steps to withdraw money from SBI ATM without using a card:
1. Download the YONO app
To get it started, download and install YONO App on your Android or iPhone. (Twitter)
2. Put a request on the app.
To withdraw money, put a request on the YONO app. (Twitter)
3. OTP will be sent to your phone
A unique 6-digit registration number which will be valid for 30 minutes will sent to your phone. (PTI)
4. Go to nearest ATM
Visit the nearest SBI ATM or YONO Cash points, and use that PIN to withdraw money. You will get a confirmation of the cash withdrawal via SMS. (PTI)
5. Availability of ATMs
The facility is available across 16,500 SBI ATMs, pan-India. Besides the 6-digit registration number, the user will be also required to enter the YONO App PIN for cash withdrawal. (PTI)
