The year 2020 was another turnaround year when the silver price sprung to 63,435 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It took it 2 years to go down to Rs 55,100. The gold price nearly doubled from 2009 to 2014. It was at Rs 14,500.00 at the end of 2009, but rose to Rs 18,500.00 in 2010. The price raced to Rs 26,400.00 and 31,050.00 in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The price slipped to Rs 29,600.00 in 2013 and closed the year 2014 at Rs 28,006.50.
