GSTR Due Date: The GST taxpayers must note that there are some important updates for them. The last date for filing GST returns under various categories is today, September 20, 2021. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has tweeted from its official Twitter handle reminding the GST taxpayers about the deadline today. In case of any query, the GST taxpayers can login to the official website of GST at gst.gov.in. Here is the list of the various categories for which the deadline is today:
GST taxpayers not under QRMP scheme
The GST taxpayers have to file their monthly GSTR-3B return for the month of August by today. CBIC has tweeted from its official Twitter handle, "Attention GST Taxpayers who are not under QRMP Scheme! Non-resident GST taxpayers
Online Information and Database Access or Retrieval Service Suppliers
As for the Online Information and Database Access or Retrieval (OIDAR) Service Suppliers also, the last date for filing GSTRR-5A return for the month of August is today, September 20, 2021. CBIC has tweeted from its official Twitter handle, "Attention OIDAR Service Suppliers! Due date for filing monthly GSTR-5A Return for the month of August, 2021 is September 20, 2021." ITR filing last date
In this context, the Income Tax (IT) payers must note that the IT Department on Thursday extended the IT return filing date. Taxpayers can now file ITR till December 31, 2021. The decision was taken considering the difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in the filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2021-22 under the Income-tax Act, 1961.
