7th pay commission: The government employees have welcomed the announcement made by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal in Union Budget 2019-20. BP Mishra, president of Indian Public Service Employees Federation (IPSEF) -- which represents central, state, autonomous bodies, municipal corporations and Panchayats employees -- said the hike in tax exemption limit up to Rs 6.5 lakh in the year 2019-20 is a big relief for the central and state government employees. 7th pay commission: The government has accepted the demands of Railway maintenance staff. Under this new system, 50 percent of these staff will be in Rs 1800 Grade, 20 percent staff in Rs 1900 Grade, 20 percent staff in Rs 2400 Grade, while 10 percent would be in Rs 2800 Grade.
