From hike in allowances in Uttar Pradesh to increase in pensions, there have been quite a few amazing gifts provided to government employees. The Indian Railways was not far behind, as it recruited around 1800 employees with massive 7th pay commission pay scales recently. The Uttar Pradesh government has accepted the proposal of doctors and employees of King George Medical College (KGMC) and Ram Manohar Lohia Institute (RML) to provide them allowances equal to the 7th pay commission pay scale. The decision to this effect was taken in a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, wherein the proposal was approved to give allowances to all doctors and employees of RML Institute and King George Medical College according to the 7th pay commission on the lines of PGI. The Central Government has given a big relief to Ex-servicemen. The Central Government has decided to revise pension of the Ex-servicemen who retired before 2006. After revision, the Ex-servicemen will get pension under the 7th pay commission report recommendations and this revised pension for the Ex-servicemen would be applicable from 1st January 2016. The Central Government's decision to revise pension of the Ex-servicemen, who retired before 2006, will be beneficial for those government employees in the armed forces whose monthly salary was below Rs 17,000. It has been revealed by an official statement that Group A Officers of Indian Railways will no longer be able to draw this allowance. The Railway Ministry has actually abolished the Charge Allowance for the officers in Group A. The decision is taken after considering the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
