Big relief to 65 lakh pensioners
In a bid to provide relief to around 65 lakh central government pensioners, the Personnel Ministry issued fresh guidelines to the banks for disbursing pension. The Personnel Ministry said that banks are adopting different procedures while releasing pension or seeking certificates from pensioners at different periodicities. The ministry has issued consolidated guidelines to chairman and managing directors (CMDs) of pension disbursing banks to create awareness among Central Pension Processing Center (CPPC)/ bank branches on updated rules and instructions in this regard. Change in 7th CPC Invalid Pension Rule
7th Pay Commission Latest Pension News: The Narendra Modi government has now allowed Invalid Pension to Armed Forces Personnel with less than 10 years of qualifying service. The proposal has been approved by the Ministry of Defence. The benefit of this move will be available to all those Armed Forces Personnel who were in service on or after 4th January 2019. Photo: PTI
Travelling Allowance Alert for central government employees
The center has given huge relief to those central government employees facing problems with their travelling allowance (TA) regarding submission of certain bills. As per the Department of Expenditure, an Office Memorandum has been issued on the subject - Travelling Allowance Rules - Submission of Boarding Pass along with TA Bill. Important DA, DR, arrears news for these state govt employees
The Government of Haryana has decided to freeze the DA and DR of state government employees and pensioners till July 2021. The state government issued an order in this regard on 6th July and said, "it has been decided that additional installment of Dearness Allowance payable to Haryana Government employees and Dearness Relief payable to Haryana Government pensioners, due from 1st January, 2020 shall not be paid."
