Saibaba Sansthan Trust on Thursday has announced its decision to give all its employees salaries as per the 7th Pay Commission, implemented by the central and state government."The Trust has decided to implement this decision retrospectively from 1st January 2016," Saibaba Sansthan Trust spokesperson said on Thursday. In a bid to get the implementation of Seventh Pay Commission and time-bound promotions ordered passed as recommended by the 7th pay commission report, Junior Doctors' Association (JDA) of Indore have extended their support to the teachers who have been agitating for the same demand. The Maharashtra government on Tuesday decided to implement the recommendations of the 7th pay commission for employees of the municipal corporations, municipal councils and nagar panchayats in the state from September 1 this year. The decision, which was taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Davendra Fadnavis, comes ahead of the Assembly elections slated to be held in October this year. An amount of Rs 409 crore has been allocated for the benefit of the employees and pensioners of 26 municipal corporations and 362 municipal councils and nagar panchayats. The arrears from January 2016 to August 2019 will be given in the next five years in annual installments. 7th Pay Commission rate of gratuity death
As per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, which has been accepted by the Centre, if a government employee dies in less than one year of his or her services, rate of death gratuity is two times of his or her monthly emoluments. The rate of death gratuity emoluments would increase to six-time if the government employee has died in the service period of more than one but less than five years of services, while in case of government employees service period spans 5 years or more but less than 11 years the rate of death gratuity would be 12 times of monthly emoluments. The 7th pay Commission further recommends that if the length of service is 11 years or more but less than 20 years then in such case rate of death gratuity would be 20 times of monthly emoluments. If the length of a central government employee's service is 20 years or more then the rate of death gratuity would be Half month of emoluments for every completed six monthly periods of qualifying service subject to a maximum of 33 times of emoluments.
