A customer from the State Bank of India (SBI) must know that the largest public sector bank in the country provides certain services to its customers to enjoy a smooth banking experience. Recently, the SBI has tweeted from its official Twitter handle regarding how to register a nominee to one's bank accounts by using Online SBI and YONO Lite.

The tweet from SBI said, "Use our Online SBI or YONO Lite and register your nominee in your own accounts. Stay home, stay safe."

An SBI customer must note that he or she can add a nominee through net banking or mobile banking. In order to add a nominee through net banking, one has to follow certain simple steps. They are as follows:

Step 1: The SBI customer has to login to onlinesbi.com and enter his or her username and password

Step 2: After login is done, the person has to click on the tab that says 'Request and Enquiries' from the menu

Step 3: After this, one has to select the 'Online Nomination' option

Step 4: If one has multiple accounts, all the accounts will be shown, and one has to select the account for which he or she wants to register the nominee

Step 5: Then the customer has to click on the 'Continue' tab and enter the name, date of birth, address of the nominee. Also, the relationship of the nominee with the account holder will have to be entered. Then one has to click on the 'Submit' option

Step 6: After this the person will have to enter the security password which one has received on the registered mobile number

Step 7: Then one has to click on the 'Confirm' tab and the new nominee will be added

An SBI account holder can also add a nominee via YONO Lite app. The steps of doing so are as follows:

Step 1: One has to download the YONO Lite app and sign into one's account

Step 2: Then one has to click on the ' Services' option

Step 3: After that one has to click on 'Online Nomination' option and select the account type and account number from which he or she wishes to register the nominee

Step 4: Now one has to click on 'Register Nomination' option and enter the name, date of birth and address of the nominee. The relationship of the nominee with the account holder will also have to be entered.

Step 5: Then one has to click on the 'Submit' button and add the nominee successfully

By following either of the two above-mentioned processes, an SBI customer can register a nominee to his or her accounts without even visiting the bank.
