SBI Bank Holidays In October 2019: Yes, festive season is on and everyone is celebrating or preparing to celebrate! However, SBI account holders, aside from preparing your shopping list, must also make sure they have enough money at hand as State Bank of India will be closed on many days in October. Due to the Dussehra, Diwali, Bhai Dooj and other festivals, the State Bank of India (SBI) in October 2019 will remain closed on 11 days. Therefore, it is important for the SBI customers to keep the full list of bank holidays in October 2019 and keep the amount of cash in hand during the SBI bank holidays in October 2019 and keep their bank account updated for future transactions falling during the festivals and avoid any kind of untoward incident that can affect their lives in a negative way.

Due to Dussehra and Diwali falling in October 2019, there will be 7 SBI bank holidays in October 2019 in total, when the bank will remain closed. Tomorrow i.e. October 2nd, the entire nation is going to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Hence, the SBI will remain closed. As Navratri is underway and Mahanavmi falls on October 7th (Monday) and Dussehra falls on October 8th (Tuesday), SBI will remain closed on these days as well because of its bank holiday. Since Sunday is an automatic Holiday, SBI will be closed for three successive days from October 6th to October 8th. During bank holidays, the bank ATM refilling would also remain closed as all banking officials will be enjoying their festival holidays, SBI customers are advised to keep ample cash in hand by this weekend and avoid any kind of cash crisis during the Dussehra celebration.

Since SBI and all other PSU banks remain closed on second and fourth Saturday, the SBI banking services will not be available for customers on October 12th and October 26th. Therefore, SBI will remain closed on October 12th, 13th, 26th and 27th. Festival of Lights Diwali is falling on 27th, which is Sunday, so there will holiday as usual but on coming 28th October, SBI will be closed on account of the Govardhan Festival and on 29th October, SBI will remain closed for Bhai Dooj festival.

The SBI bank holidays in October apart, lender will be closed on successive days in November 2019 too as well because - bank will remain closed on second Saturday i.e. on November 9 and Guru Nanak Jayanti is falling on 11th October, which is also a bank holiday. So, SBI's banking services will be closed for three consecutive days from 9th November to 11th November.
