SBI Customers Alert! Want to stop a cheque? Here is how you can do it through YONO Lite in easy steps
SBI gives its customers a facility to stop a cheque without visiting the home branch. SBI customers can use SBI’s YONO Lite to stop a cheque from getting processed from the comfort of your home.
If you are a customer of the State Bank of India (SBI) and have signed a cheque that you want to stop urgently then the bank provides that facility to you.

SBI account holders can note that there is no cost associated with stopping a cheque that is the facility can be availed free of cost. Also, multiple cheques can be stopped at a time by providing the Start Cheque and End Cheque Number.
Another important thing to note is that a cheque stop take effect from the moment the confirmation you get from the app.
Check the steps mentioned below to do the same:
Step 1: Login to Yono Lite SBI.
Step 2: Click on 'Requests' then 'Cheque Book' and then 'Stop/Revoke Cheque'.
Step 3: Select the radio button 'Stop Cheque'.
Step 4: Select the account number from the dropdown.
Step 5: Provide the start cheque number (mandatory) and end cheque number.
Step 6: Select the instrument type.
Step 7: Select the stop reason. This is mandatory for the customers to provide.
Step 8: Accept the Terms and Conditions.
Step 9: Click on 'Submit'.
Step 10: Provide the OTP received in mobile and your requested cheque(s) will be stopped.
However, if you have requested a cheque stop and want to cancel it then you can do that as well. Follow the steps provided below:
Step 1: Login to Yono Lite SBI.
Step 2: Click on 'Requests' >> 'Cheque Book' >> 'Stop/Revoke Cheque'.
Step 3: Select the radio button 'Revoke Cheque'.
Step 4: Select the account number from the dropdown.
Step 5: Provide the start cheque number (mandatory) and end cheque number which you need to revoke.
Step 6: Select the instrument type.
Step 7: Accept the Terms and Conditions.
Step 8: Click on 'Submit'.
Step 9: Provide the OTP received in mobile.
Step 10: Your requested cheque(s) will be revoked.
In order to view a list of all cheques which have been stopped by the customers he/she will have to login to Yono Lite SBI and then Click on 'Requests' >> 'Cheque Book' >> 'Stop/Revoke Cheque'. Then select the radio button 'View Recent' and select the account number from the dropdown.
The app will show all the cheques that you have stopped with their reference number and start cheque numbers.
