SBI ATM cash withdrawal: SBI account holder? Here is a good news for you. You were able to do free transactions at ATMs for only 8-10 times in a month. However, by maintaining a certain minimum balance (check below), you can do unlimited transactions at SBI ATMs and even at other bank ATMs. As per a direction by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks have to provide a certain number of free ATM transactions to customers.

SBI customers need to maintain a certain average monthly balance in their account for unlimited transactions. Such customers can do unlimited free transactions at SBI group ATMs and other banks. The bank provides up to 10 free transactions at SBI group ATMs to those customers who maintain an average monthly balance of Rs 25,000. However, there are certain terms and conditions for this.

Who can do unlimited ATM transactions

Unlimited ATM transactions are allowed to customers maintaining a minimum average monthly balance of Rs 1 lakh or more. Such customers can also do unlimited transactions at other bank ATMs. Apart from these, unlimited free transactions are also allowed to salary account holders at SBI group ATMs and other bank ATMs. 

If you are a regular savings bank account holder of SBI, you can do eight free ATM transactions, including five transactions at SBI ATMs and three transactions at other bank ATMs. In non-metros, such account holders can do 10 free transactions, including five at SBI ATMs and five at others. 

If you cross the free transaction limit then the bank charged Rs 5 to Rs 20 GST.  

On October 31, SBI had decreased the daily cash withdrawal limit on classic and Maestro debit cards to Rs 20,000.
