SBI Account Holder? Now you can add nominee using Online SBI, YONO lite - Here is how | Check Step-by-Step guide

Are you a customer of the State Bank of India? Do you want to add a nominee to your account? If yes, then you can note that you can do so on your own and that too without visiting the bank.

SBI has recently informed the same via its Twitter account and said that the process can be done by using online SBI and YONO lite.

"Use our Online SBI and YONO Lite to register a nominee in your account," SBI tweeted in Hindi.

The bank is providing most of the services to its customers online considering the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

In order to add a nominee through net banking, an SBI customer can follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Log in to onlinesbi.com and enter your username and password.

Step 2: After you log in, click on the tab that says 'Request and Enquiries' from the menu.

Step 3: Select the 'Online Nomination' option.

Step 4: If you have multiple accounts then all the accounts will be shown and you will have to select the account for which you want to register the nominee.

Step 5: Click on the 'Continue' tab and enter the name, date of birth, address of the nominee. Also, the relationship of the nominee with the account holder will have to be entered. Then click on the 'Submit' option.

Step 6: Enter the security password which you received on your registered mobile number.

Step 7: Click on the 'Confirm' tab and the new nominee will be added.

You can also add a nominee via YONO Lite app using the steps provided below:

Step 1: Download the YONO Lite app and sign into your account.

Step 2: Click on the ' Services' option.

Step 3: Click on 'Online Nomination' option and select the account type and account number from which you wish to register the nominee.

Step 4: Click on 'Register Nomination' option and enter the name, date of birth and address of the nominee. The relationship of the nominee with the account holder will also have to be entered.

Step 5: Click on the 'Submit' button and add the nominee successfully.
