Relief for SBI account holders! Bank ATM to reach doorstep, just WhatsApp or call and get cash

Big relief has been announced for SBI account holders to cope with the Coronavirus enforced social distancing measures. The State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced doorstep SBI ATM service for its customers. So now, instead of going to the internet and typing out 'SBI ATM  near me' and then making a trip, all you have to do is send a WhatssApp message to SBI.

Ajay Kumar Khanna, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle informed about the decision to introduce this SBI WhatsApp and SBI phone call service through his official Twitter handle. Currently, the SBI doorstep ATM service has been introduced  in Lucknow and if the experiment succeeds, we can expect it to be implemented in other cities as well.

Informing about the SBI ATM doorstep service through a single message from WhatsApp or through a phone call, Khanna tweeted, "This Independence Day @TheOfficialSBI for the Lucknowites has introduced the facility of Mobile ATM at their doorstep. Just dial or WhatsApp to let us know and we will do the rest."

The largest Indian commercial bank has already waived-off charges for non-maintenance of SBI minimum balance limit and SBI SMS banking charges. Now after the announcement of the SBI ATM via Whatsapp message and a phone call is a welcome step during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will help SBI customers to get cash at their doorstep without going out and face danger of Coronavirus infection.

SBI doorstep ATM service on WhatsApp and phone call will mainly help the senior citizens who can't go out with ease. After the inception of this doorstep ATM service, elderly SBI customers won't have to feel the cash crunch even when they are not able to go out.
