According to the Agriculture Department, those farmers who are yet to get their Aadhaar seeding and land verification done should get it done soon. Otherwise, they will not get the benefit of the next installment.

If these farmers do not get e-KYC done by January 31, they may become ineligible. E-KYC was made mandatory for eligibility by the Government of India in December 2022, and the period has been continuously extended to benefit the eligible farmers. Despite this, thousands of farmers have not yet got their e-KYC done.

Installment payment may stop

The eligibility of farmers who do not get e-KYC done by January 31 may be terminated, and for those farmers who have not yet done land seeding and DBT, their scheme installment payment may stop and their account may become inactive. Farmers can get e-KYC done through thumb impression by visiting their nearest e-Mitra, and CSC centres, and PM Kisan can do e-KYC themselves through face by downloading the GOI app. Farmers can get their bank account linked to Aadhaar, or apart from the bank, they can get DBT linked to open the account through India Post Bank.
