PM Jan Dhan account balance check online: Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Account that is opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), is one of the most ambitious financial inclusion programmes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Jan Dhan account can be opened in any bank branch or Business Correspondent (Bank Mitr) outlet. Accounts opened under PMJDY can be opened with Zero balance. But, if the account-holder wishes to get cheque book, he/she will have to fulfill minimum balance criteria.
Recently, during Coronavirus lockdown, the Government of India has announced various subsidy schemes that will be transferred through direct bank transfer or to the PM Jan Dhan account. However, it has been found that people having PM Jan Dhan account holders are unable to check their balance. Since, State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest Indian commercial bank, SBI has the maximum Jan Dhan accounts. SBI has recently started a special facility for its customers, especially those who have opened account under PMJDY. Any Jan Dhan account holder can know the balance of the account simply by dialing 18004253800 or 1800112211. The customer has to call on this number from his registered mobile number. After calling, they will get information about the last 5 transactions and also their account balance. Besides, they can also take all these information by calling at 9223766666 from their registered mobile number.
