How to check PF account balance with a phone number
Now, you can check whether money is being deposited in your account or not. Just give miss a call from a registered mobile number on 011-22901406. This call will be automatically cut after two bells ring. No money will be charged for this.
There are two conditions for this, one should have activated this service on the EPFO portal with the UAN and the other details, including the bank account number of the UAN. KYC (Know Your Customer) should be done with either an Aadhaar or PAN number. After this, the registered member on the UAN portal can check his/her balance by giving a missed call.

Once the interest is deposited in the PF account, the balance can be checked in several ways. You can check the amount deposited in PF accounts online or through SMS.
How to check PF balance with SMS
Step 1: Send an SMS to 7738299899 by typing EPFOHO UAN ENG from your mobile number.
Step 2: The last 3 letters in sms indicate your preferred language. In this, ENG means English. You can choose from a total of 10 languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, Malayalam and Gujarati.
Step 3: For Hindi, you have to send HIN, PUN for Punjabi, GUJ for Gujarati, MAR for Marathi, KAN for Kannada, TEL for Telugu, TAM for Tamil, MAL for Malayalam and BEN for Bengali.
Step 4: SMS is sent from the same mobile number that is registered with the mobile number Universal Account Number (UAN).
Step 5: EPFO will send your final PF contribution, balance details, and available KYC information to your mobile number through an SMS.
How to check PF balance using UMANG app
You can check your EPF balance on the UMANG app by simply logging in to the application using the member's UAN number and OTP (One TIme Password).
How to check EPF balance with the UMANG app
Step 1: Install Umang app from Play Store/App Store.
Step 2: Open the Umang app on your smartphone and choose your preferred language.
Step 3: Register your mobile number.
Step 4: Click on the 'All Services' option at the bottom.
Step 5: Search and select 'EPFO' from the list of options.
Step 6: Click on 'View Passbook' to check your EPF balance.
Step 7: Enter your UAN and click on Get OTP.
Step 8: Enter the OTP and click on 'Login'. Follow the steps that appear next on your mobile screen.
Step 9: After this, your passbook will be displayed on the screen along with your EPF balance.
Check PF balance from EPFO portal
Step 1: Visit the EPFO's official website and click on the service tab.
Step 2: Now click on the section 'For Employee'.
Step 3: After this, click on 'Member Passbook' and log in by entering UAN and password.
Step 4: Now the entire information will open in front of you.
How to know PF balance without UAN
Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.epfindia.gov.in/
Step 2: Click here to check your PF balance from the homepage
Step 3: EPFO page will appear.
Step 4: Select your state.
Step 5: Enter EPFO head office.
Step 6: Enter your business code.
Step 7: Enter the PF account number, name, and mobile phone number.
Step 8: Check the "I agree" box in the acknowledgment box, after which the member's balance will appear.
