Domestic Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have released petrol and diesel prices for Saturday, June 5. As per Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) website, OMCs have chosen to keep the fuel rates unchanged. Earlier, burning hole in common man's pocket, petrol and diesel prices were increased record 18 times since May 4. Latest revision in petrol and diesel prices came on Fridy, June 5, when OMCs decided to increase fuel rates up to 28 paise across the metros. It came after petrol and diesel prices remained stable for two days.

As petrol, diesel prices have been not been revised, fuel rates for Saturday are same as that of Friday.  

Delhi: Petrol is being retailed at Rs 94.76 per litre and diesel price at Rs 85.66 a litre in Delhi.    

Mumbai: In Mumbai, petrol is being sold for Rs 100.98 a litre, while diesel is available at Rs 92.99 paise per litre.    

Kolkata: In Petrol price is Rs 94.76 a litre and diesel Rs 88.51 a litre in this metro 

Chennai: In the Southern state, petrol hit an all-time high of Rs 96.23 a litre on June 4. Diesel is being retailed at Rs 90.38 per litre.  

Meanwhile, petrol prices had already crossed Rs 100 in many cities of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh quite some time ago, however, it also breached this mark in Mumbai. During hike on last 18 occasions, petrol price got costlier by Rs 4.36 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.93 a litre in the national capital.     

Fuel prices differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes such as VAT and freight charges.
