The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DOPPW) launched a special campaign for the timely redressal of family pension cases pending on its online portal Centralised Pension Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPENGRAMS).

This was a part of the government's 100-day action plan that took place from July 1 to July 31, 2024, in a mission mode approach, according to a statement issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

The Special Campaign was taken up by Indian Railways and as of July 31, 2024, Railway has disposed of 70 cases out of a total 72 cases shared by DOPPW.

The railway department shared a couple of successful stories shared below:

1) Grievance of Kavita Rani (Subhash Nagar, UP) - 'Revision in PPO'

Kavita Rani wife of the Late Tilak Raj has lodged a grievance on the CPENGRAMS portal dated June 5, 2024, that she is not getting the correct family pension and requested for revision in her PPO. Her case was taken up in an ongoing special campaign and was actively monitored. Finally, her revised PPO was issued on 10.06.2024, providing financial relief to her. Her grievance has been redressed within a very short span i.e. 5 days.

2) Grievance of Sandeep Kumar (Shahdara, Delhi) - 'Inclusion of DA Arrears in family pension'

Sandeep Kumar has lodged a grievance on CPENGRAMS portal dated June 5, 2024, on behalf of his mother Arti regarding the inclusion of DA Arrears in the family pension. His case was taken up in an ongoing special campaign and was actively monitored. Finally, the grievance was disposed of on 04.07.2024 stating that the difference of DCRG passed vide AB No. 00784 dated June 25, 2024, amounting to Rs. 47460, and DA arrear will be released in the pension cycle of July 2024.
