PAN-Aadhaar Linking: Those who have not yet done their PAN-Aadhaar linking must know that March 31, 2022 is the last date for doing so. The government has made linking of the PAN card with Aadhaar mandatory, in order to make things transparent and hassle-free.

One must remember that with PAN-Aadhaar linking, the government can easily track your financial transactions and this will also avoid any fraud or tax evasion. The government has time and again extended the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar card.
Now, for linking Aadhaar with PAN, the individuals will have to follow some simple steps. They are as follows:
Step 1: One has to register on the new website, and one must remember that the PAN will be user ID.
Step 2: Now, login by entering the User ID, password and date of birth
Step 3: A pop-up window will appear. If the window does not appear, go to ‘Profile Settings’ on the Menu bar and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’
Step 4: Details such as name date of birth and gender will already be mentioned as per the PAN details
Step 5: Verify the PAN details on the screen with the ones mentioned on the Aadhaar.
Step 6: If the details match, enter the Aadhaar number and click on the “link now” button
Step 7: A message will pop up informing that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked to PAN
Initially, the deadline was of March 31, 2021 but the deadline has been extended since then time and again for various reasons.
