Kailash Gahlot, Transport and Environment Minister of Delhi tweeted about this suspension yesterday from his official Twitter handle. The tweet said, "Considering rising COVID cases and recent DDMA guidelines, all appointments for DL & LL tests (fresh & existing) at all RTOs will be suspended from tomorrow (6.1.22). Details for rescheduled dates will be sent to all applicants via SMS. We will extend validity of existing LLs."

The individuals who had their appointments for Driving Licence or Learner's Licence tests must note that the rescheduled dates for the same will be sent to the applicants through SMS. Furthermore, the validities of the LLs will also be extended by the authorities.
It has to be noted that the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has decided to impose a weekend curfew in the national capital due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 and Omicron cases. The weekend curfew will come into effect from 10 PM on Friday and will remain in force till 5 AM Monday.
In other COVID-19 related news, on Thursday, the country recorded 90,928 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Furthermore, 2630 cases of Omicron variant have been reported so far. Delhi has recorded 465 cases of Omicron variant so far.
