According to the circular, the Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) system of NPS is introducing the system of Aadhaar-based login authentication for the existing user ID and password-based login process. After the implementation of this new security protocol, NPS subscribers can now log in to their account by simply authenticating their account with Aadhaar, and entering the OTP received on their registered mobile number. For this, PFRDA will integrate the current user ID and password-based login.

At present, NPS account holders require an NPS ID and password to log into the CRA system, but after this, they will have to do an Aadhaar-based verification.
