NPS new login rules: According to the circular, the Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) system of NPS is introducing the system of Aadhaar-based login authentication for the existing user ID and password-based login process.
NPS new login rules: The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) is set to revamp the current login process for National Pension System (NPS) accounts from April 1, 2024. PFRDA has added another step for the security of NPS accounts amid the rising number of online fraud cases nationwide. PFRDA has implemented a two-factor Aadhaar authentication.
NPS new login rules: Aadhaar-based authentication rule
According to the circular, the Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) system of NPS is introducing the system of Aadhaar-based login authentication for the existing user ID and password-based login process. After the implementation of this new security protocol, NPS subscribers can now log in to their account by simply authenticating their account with Aadhaar, and entering the OTP received on their registered mobile number. For this, PFRDA will integrate the current user ID and password-based login.
At present, NPS account holders require an NPS ID and password to log into the CRA system, but after this, they will have to do an Aadhaar-based verification.
NPS new login rules: How to login to NPS account?
Follow these steps to access your NPS account using two-factor Aadhaar authentication:
Step 1: Visit to the NPS website: https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/NationalPensionSystem.html
Step 2: Select the option 'Login with PRAIN/IPIN'.
Step 3: Click on the PRAIN/IPIN tab to open a new window.
Step 4: Login by entering your user ID and password.
Step 5: Complete captcha verification.
Step 6: The window will then prompt for Aadhaar authentication and send an OTP to your registered mobile number.
Step 7: Now, Enter OTP.
