ICICI Lombard and Mobikwik have reportedly joined hands to insure home contents.
ICICI Lombard and Mobikwik have reportedly joined hands to insure "home contents". The partnership will help you insure contents of your home against any mishaps with the help of a mobile app for as little as Rs 25, report by Hindu Business Line said today. Mobikwik is one of the leading fintech platforms in the country. The "home contents" insurance product would provide Rs 2 lakh cover to both home-owners as well as those who take them on rent.
MobiKwik co-founder Upasana Taku was quoted as saying that the new product is an instant policy that users can buy within 10 seconds. No paperwork would be required. She added that the fintech firm has already sold over 1500 policies within two days of launch.
Claim process
Customers will be able to complete the claim process digitally.
Cyber insurance
Early this year, MobiKwik and ICICI Lombard had announced a partnership to offer cyber-insurance cover of Rs 50,000 crore to protect against online frauds. Both firms had said that their partnership the partnership aims to provide protection against unauthorised and fraudulent transactions online, across bank accounts, debit/credit cards and mobile wallets.
"This relationship with MobiKwik further strengthens ICICI Lombard's endeavour to provide innovative and unique products against the new-age risks and cater to the needs of the customers of our business associates," Sanjeev Mantri, Executive Director, ICICI Lombard had said.
The cyber-insurance can be purchased through an app at just Rs 99/month with a sum insured of Rs 50,000, the companies had said in a release.
The insurance product can be controlled by MobiKwik users at the time of loading money into the wallet or in a standalone format. The claims can also be lodged digitally.
