Noida-Greater Noida Metro fare: The soon-to-be-launched Noida-Greater Noida Metro will charge less than the Delhi Metro! A decision has been taken in this regard, a media report said today. It added the price will be announced in around 15 days. The Noida-Greater Noida Metro line between Sector 71 and Greater Noida depot is expected to be opened from next month. The new metro route would be run by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation. However, for smooth functioning, DMRC will oversee operations for the first five years. 

Officials told Hindi daily Hindustan that NMRC has decided to have lower fares as compared to Delhi Metro. The decision would attract lakhs of residents along the route to undertake metro ride.

The Noida-Greater Noida Metro stations and line would be inspected by Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety this month. If everything goes well, the launch date would be decided after the inspection.

Delhi Metro had revised fared in October 2017, triggering political controversy. There were also reports of fall in Delhi Metro's daily ridership.
