He said so while speaking with Zee Business Managing Director and Markey Guru Anil Singhvi in a popular Tv show 'Nivesh Ke Funde' where he expressed his view on the market and predicted that commodities prices will continue to improve.

Talking about the price of oil and its impact, Somaiya said that the price of oil has jumped for a while now. But whenever such a boom has been seen in oil, after that the price of oil has been seen around 60-70 dollars for a long time.

In fact, if the price of crude remains high for a long time, then it affects the economic system, he said. And then all commodity prices and oil prices correct or fall.

What should existing investors do?

Keeping the temptation aside, the existing investor should not do anything, for now, the CEO of White Oak Capital suggested. They should stick to their portfolio. And those who are incremental investors should also not take aggressive calls for now and invest gradually over the next 2-3 months.

This is because whenever there is a huge market fall due to global risk-off, like lemon crisis, or global financial crisis or COVID crisis or any other global risk; there has been a temporary effect in the Indian market.

And once the situation was corrected the direction changed very rapidly, said Somaiya.

If people want to invest money then where and how to invest?

Considering the current market situation, the expert suggested investors to invest gradually over 2-3 months. Staggering for 1-2 months will be useful if you are investing in mutual funds and conducting systematic transfers; nevertheless, don't remain for too long. The CEO further suggested investing in diversified sectors, large-cap, midcap, small caps. He also preferred to invest in private sector banks and capital market companies because global selling has led to a sharp decline in it and fundamentals are consistently improved in the past 9-12 months.
