Mahtari Vandana Yojana: Govt scheme to provide Rs 12,000 financial aid to women — Check installment date and application status

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai, had announced a new scheme called Mahtari Vandana Yojana 2024 for all married women on 10 January, 2024, under which financial aid of Rs 1000 per month and Rs 12,000 per year will be given to married women.
Apart from married women, divorced, abandoned, and widows can also avail the benefits of this government scheme.
Mahtari Vandana Yojana: First installment to be credited in March
After verification of all the applications received in the first phase, the first instalment will be transferred to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts in the month of March through a direct benefit transfer scheme. As per the official release, under the leadership of CM Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is going to fulfill the guarantee given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Chhattisgarh.
Mahtari Vandana Yojana: How to apply for the scheme?
This scheme is being run by Chhattisgarh Women and Child Development Department for which, the online and offline application process, started on February 5 and the last date for the same was February 20, 2024. The deadline has not been extended by the government.
However, after the first phase, eligible beneficiaries will be allowed to apply again in the next phase. Currently, the verification process is on for applications received in the first phase.

Applicants can check the status of their application by entering their registered mobile number or Aadhaar number at https://mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in.
Mahtari Vandana Yojana: Eligibility
- The applicant for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana should be a native of Chhattisgarh.
- Only married women over the age of 21 years as of January 1, 2024, are eligible.
- Widows, divorced, and abandoned women are also be eligible for this scheme.
- The minimum age for applicants is 21 years and the maximum age is 60 years.
- The annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
- The bank account of the applicant should be linked to the Aadhaar card.

Applicants for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana should have the following documents.
- Aadhaar Card
- Age Proof Certificate
- Bank Account Passbook
- Identity Proof
- Passport-sized photographs
- Residence Proof (Ration card or residence certificate for Chhattisgarh residents)
- Mobile Number
