Life Certificate For Pensioners SBI Online: Step-by-step guide to do it through website, mobile app
In order to facilitate these pensioners, the State Bank of India (SBI) has started Video Life Certificate (VLC) service. This allows pensioners to submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes.

As the name suggests, this is proof of the existence of the pensioner. In order to facilitate these pensioners, the State Bank of India (SBI) has started Video Life Certificate (VLC) service. This allows pensioners to submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes.
“Video Life Certificates with an ease. Now even family pensioners can avail the services via the SBI Pension Seva Mobile App or website," SBI said in a tweet recently.
How to submit life certificate via an app?
In order to submit a life certificate, one needs to download PensionSeva mobile app. On the landing screen, click on 'Video Life Certificate.'
How to submit life certificate via a website?
Visit the official i.e. <https://www.pensionseva.sbi> and click on "VideoLC".
Step-by-step guide for submitting VLC:
Step 1: Visit the website or open the app and click on the link.
Step 2: Enter the account number and then select the checkbox for authorising the bank to use Aadhaar data for VLC and click on the "Validate Account" button.
Step 3: Pensioners will get an OTP on their registered mobile if they are eligible for VLC. Once validated, you will have to tick the boxes of the mandatory certificates (self-declared).
Step 4: Submit all required documents and then click on the 'Proceed' button. This will redirect you to VLC landing page.
Step 5: Allow required permissions and then you will have the option of either to schedule an appointment for the future available slot or wait for it.
Step 6: In case you select 'schedule call', select date and time that suits you. Post that, a confirmation via SMS and email will be sent.
Step 7: On the scheduled date, the pensioner can join the video call 5 minutes in advance. In case of any urgency, the call be rescheduled.
Step 8: Wait for Bank Official to connect with you. Once he or she joins the session, the pensioner will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions. Now pensioners will be required to read out the verification code in the call.
Step 9: Show your PAN card and hold your camera steady so that your face can be clearly captured by the bank official.
Step 10: At the end, pensioners will get the message. They will be intimated about the status through an SMS.
